Hi! I’m Lindsey…

Life, for me, has been largely curiosity driven. I am a master dabbler, interested in almost everything. I’m fascinated by the creative process and the space it creates for the practice of play, intuition, and exploration. I love pattern and color, daydreaming and lingering in unanswerable questions. My hope is that my work inspires a sense of creative inspiration, joy, and delight in the viewer. I believe the process of art making holds its own special magic, and I feel lucky to be engaged with it.

My other passions include, but are not limited to: my husband and two daughters, social justice and subverting patriarchy, sewing, pop culture, any form of sincere human expression, reading multiple books at once, deep conversations, craft cocktails, any opportunity to explore, sitting quietly in nature, my dogs.

Artist Bio

Lindsey Schreiber is an artist living in the high desert of Northern New Mexico. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s in General Studies and a Master’s in Counseling. She has often dreamed of being in art school, but has never gone. She has an unofficial education in 100 aspects of creativity and the history of the human pursuit of it. Though parts of her always knew she was an artist, it took many years before she allowed herself the space to begin.

Lindsey works primarily in acrylic and mixed media on board. Pulling fragments and images from memories, dreams, and imagination, Lindsey’s work weaves a narrative that invites wonder, curiosity and unique interpretation.  Her work aims to express the not quite graspable, like pulling at threads upon waking from a dream, or straining to see what’s just outside the field of vision.
